Summary: Sirius is jealous. Harry reassures him.

Paws and All

“Sirius! Come on, give it over or you’ll get a spanking!”

Padfoot merely looked at Harry, dark eyes twinkling as he released a noise of canine amusement. Harry shook his head as Sirius made himself comfortable on their huge bed, still holding the parchment in his mouth.

“You just think you’re king of your castle, don’t you? Pity you have no crown,” Harry teased, smiling fondly.

Padfoot disappeared, leaving a concerned-looking Sirius in his place.

“You know I’m king of this castle. I don’t like the way that dark-haired bint was looking at you—like you were a custard slice and she’d been on a diet for months.”

“You daft sod! Jealous of Cho Chang. It was you who made me aware of the fact that I fancy blokes as well as birds! Do you have any idea how strange I felt when I started feeling attracted to you?”

“No stranger than I felt when I cottoned on to the fact that I was attracted to you, I assure you. It’s been good though, yeah?”

“The best. Particularly when you aren’t acting like a jealous prat. Cho and I finished ages ago. You’re it for me. No one else.”

“Glad to hear that, love.”

“Will you give me the letter now, Sirius? Cho might be expecting a reply.”

Sirius grumbled a bit, but handed over the letter readily.

“Interesting. Cho wants to know if I’d be willing to back her in a business venture. Wants to manufacture a new racing broom. I’d get a share of the profits.”

“We don’t need the money.”

“We could always donate it to charities or some such thing.”

“You are too good.”

“Well, it seems you don’t have that dilemma. Did I or did I not promise a certain mongrel a spanking?”

“You did. But, I find I can’t resist the urge to mark my territory.”

Harry hissed in pleasure as his lover’s teeth sank into the flesh of his neck, claiming him.

“Sirius, you are such a beast!”

Sirius growled with satisfaction, pulling Harry closer as he soothed the resulting mark with his tongue.

“And you love me, paws and all. Right?”

“Yes, Sirius. I always will."
