Here Now

Title: Here Now

Author: [livejournal.com profile] bleedingangel84

Beta: None

Rating: PG

Warnings: femmeslash, angst, UST

Word Count: 365

Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction created for fun and no profit has been made.

Notes: Femmeslash isn’t what I typically write, but Parvati was rather insistent about this. The idea wanted out of my head. Sorry if this sucks. Not beta’ed, as most of my stuff usually isn’t. I seem to be a bit of a rare pair groove of late.

Written for: [livejournal.com profile] hogwarts365 Prompt #74-“Dream Lover”; Parvati; Red

Summary: Parvati has always been friends with Lavender, but now she’d like something more.

Here Now

“You look beautiful.”

“Why doesn’t Won-Won think so? He’d rather be with her.”

“Well, Weasley never has been the brightest star in the sky, has he?”

“Parvati!”

“What? You know it’s the truth. He might be cute, but he is rather thick.”

“Don’t say that.”

“He didn’t even bother to end things, did he? I’d like to give him a piece of my mind for hurting you. You walked around with red eyes for weeks afterward.”

“You’re not helping.”

“Sorry. Forget about him. You deserve someone who treats you better.”

“I don’t think my dream lover is suddenly going to come waltzing through my door, is he?”

“Who knows? Muggles say that most of the things we do with magic are impossible.”

‘No one like Won-Won. What if no one ever loves me again?”

“Don’t be stupid. You’re lovely, funny, and interesting. Anyone would be lucky if you decided to date them.”

“You have to say that. You’re my best friend.”

“Lavender. Why don’t we go to Hogsmeade tomorrow? Madam Puddifoot has that coffee that you like.”

“I couldn’t go alone. You know that. That place is for couples.”

“You wouldn’t be alone. You’d be with me.”

“Parvati, what does that mean?”

“It wouldn’t have to mean anything you don’t want it to. I just don’t want to see you moping any longer. It hurts me to see you so upset.”

“I—don’t know if I could.”

“I understand.”

“Parvati?”

“Yes?”

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

“I don’t feel quite up to going to Hogsmeade after what happened last time.”

“You got pissed in the Hog’s Head. I was the one who held your hair back while you were sicking up.”

“Don’t remind me. I never want to see Firewhiskey again. It was vile.”

“You were green, but you were still gorgeous.”

“You shouldn’t say things like that.”

“I can’t help it. That’s how I feel. I’m sorry if it makes you uncomfortable.”

“It makes me curious. Did you know you talk in your sleep?”

“What did I say?”

“You were calling out to me and crying. I thought you’d had a nightmare.”

“I dreamed that you died. I couldn’t bear it.”

“I’m here now.”
