“Harry, what are you doing?”
“Cooking.”
“Why?”
“I was hungry. Do you want something?”
“It’s three in the morning, Harry!”
“As I recall, we missed dinner because we were preoccupied with other things.”
“It was rather enjoyable, if I do say so myself.”
“I should hope so. Said enjoyment got all over me.”
“Was that you complaining?”
“Not at all. Being with you is like a ‘create your own’ adventure story.”
“That’s possibly my favourite compliment I’ve ever received. And also one of the oddest.”
“Everything with you always seems new and exciting. I like it.”
“Let’s hope you still feel that way when we’re little old men.”
“I’ll still think you’re the cutest, don’t worry.”
“You are a sap.”
“And you love me. Are you sure I can’t fix you something? A cheese toastie?”
“Yours did smell rather fragrant.”
“I can hear your stomach growling from here.”
“Shush you. Let’s go sit by the fireplace and cuddle under a blanket.”
“Now who’s the sap?”
“Only with you, and you know it.”
