“Perhaps I should’ve worn earmuffs. I’d no idea there were mandrakes in this greenhouse.”

“Only seedlings. So long as you don’t try to uproot one, you should be fine.”

“Will you protect me, then?”

“From what?”

“I don’t know what poisonous plants might be lurking in here.”

“Blaise, do you never pay attention in Herbology? This greenhouse is meant to house harmless plants.”

“That’s good, then. Though I will confess, I rather like the thought of you protecting me.”

“So, does that make you the damsel in distress? The fair maiden basking in the affections of her dashing knight?”

“Neville, you’re not talking me into role play again. I had to tell Draco I lost a bet when the glamour charm wouldn’t fade in time for classes.”

“You looked so attractive like that.”

“I never knew Neville Longbottom would have so many kinks. You’re a bit obsessed, aren’t you?”

“Was that you complaining, Blaise? I’m sorry, I’ll leave!”

“Leave now and I will hex your balls off.”

“No, you won’t. You enjoy playing with them too much to do that.”

“You’re not playing fair, Nev.”

“Blaise, this is a relationship, not a chess match. Show it some respect, yes?”

“Oh, I respect it very much. You just surprise me, that’s all.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

“Not at all. I rather enjoy surprises. I never thought you’d like me.”
