Skulls and Angels

So, Tyler Oakley is turning 24. He does a lot of work with The Trevor Project, which is a charity that works to prevent suicide for LGBTQ youth. This year, instead of gifts, he's asking that people donate to the new program they are trying to build, which is a text-based chat to prevent suicide. I think this is a great cause and a fabulous idea, so I thought I'd share the video and link to his fundraising page. I absolutely love and appreciate Tyler for everything he does. His videos make me smile, even when I'm having the worst days in the world. If anyone else feels like donating, please do, even if it's only a little bit. If you do, I'll really appreciate it. I've been on the end of having to call a crisis line before, so I know how crucial these things can be. Anyway, I'll post the video and link below, just in case anyone wants to check it out. If you do donate, I'd be happy to write a drabble or ficlet for you. Just leave your preferred fandom, pairing and a prompt and I'll get to work on that as soon as possible.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous lawsuits ever won. Since when has Nutella ever been a health food? Anyone who buys food for her kid solely because of advertising needs to rethink the way she's shopping, and instead try reading the freakin' label. Hello!
Only in America would someone be rewarded for failing to read a food label. They're there for a reason, people. This truly makes me sad for the state of my country. When I first heard it, I thought it was some kind of a joke, but sadly, it's real.

Taking responsibility as a parent involves actually informing yourself of what's in the food you buy your kids. I don't find it fair that the makers of Nutella should be penalized for false advertising if American consumers don't have enough common sense to look at the clearly outlined nutrition information on the product prior to purchase.

I love the stuff, but no way would I eat it every day. It's meant to be used as a treat and eaten sparingly. Anyone with half a brain should be aware of that just hearing the ingredients. Of course it's going to have a high fat content. It's made from hazelnuts, for goodness' sake. Not all fat is necessarily bad fat, but if you're that worried over it, don't use it as a breakfast food. Ay, ay, ay, I swear, people get lazier every day. And what's worse, they're getting paid for it.

I mean no disrespect to these people or my country, but it seems as if common sense has gone into hiding in America.
