Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction created for fun and no profit has been made.
Notes: Did not intend to write this from these prompts, but I sort of like it. Canon-like abuse of Harry via various Dursleys. Harry is referring to European football here, not what Americans know as football. I know next to nothing about either sport, so my apologies if anything in here offends. That is not my intent. Let me know if anything needs correcting. I hope readers can enjoy my little drabble thing.

Summary: Harry is too good for his own good.
Saints and Slytherins
“Harry! I’m home! Are you still watching that football match?”
“It’s over. They were showing repeats of last year’s World Cup games. This one was Brazil versus Croatia.”
“I will never understand your fascination with Muggle sports. We have Quidditch.”
“Quidditch is wonderful, but I enjoy football. I remember playing it in primary school. The coach was the only one Dudley was ever afraid of, so it was the only time he didn’t beat me up.”
“Why didn’t you ever say anything?”
“You know what my family was like. Yours was worse. I didn’t want it to seem as if I was whinging.”
“Harry. If anyone deserves to whinge a bit, it’s you.”
“I hate whinging. It makes me seem weak. That’s what my uncle always said.”
“Because your uncle is an emotionally immature. Small-minded as well. Though he does rather bear a striking resemblance to an overfed walrus.”
“Draco, you’re absolutely terrible! He may be annoying and hurtful, but he’s still my relative.”
“Harry! Listen to me, yes? Relatives who have treated you like troll dung do not deserve your consideration.”
“You may have a point. But, just because he treated me badly growing up doesn’t give me the right to do the same to him.”
“Merlin save me, I’m married to a saint!”
“Wasn’t it you who pegged me with the title of Saint Potter? This is your own fault, you know,” Harry smirked.
“Right. Blame the innocent Slytherin.”
“Now that’s what I’d call an oxymoron if I’ve ever heard one.”
“I’ll get you for that, Saint Potter!”
Draco quickly took his revenge by bombarding Harry with pillows from the sofa until he was begging for mercy.
“I surrender!”
“That’s more like it.”
“You play dirty.”
“Slytherin. I just wish that what your uncle said hadn’t affected you so deeply. ”
“I was young. Things like that tend to stay with you if you learn them early enough.”
“I know. Considering my father, that’s one thing of which I’m well aware.”
“Now it seems you’re the one in need of cheering up. Why don’t I show you just how much of a saint I’m not?”
“I love how your mind works.”
