Notes: I had no idea this was lurking in my head. My muses demanded femmeslash this week, but there is nothing explicit here. I apologise if this stinks, but I didn’t want to do get stuck in a rut with my writing. If you hate it, feel free to tell me. I have no idea why these three wanted to play together, but here they are. Feedback is welcome, even if you dislike this.
Summary: Pansy, Luna, and Ginny are an unlikely threesome, but it seems to work for them.
The Unlikeliest Triad
“Pansy, don’t you have sense enough to come in out of the rain?” Ginny asked.
“Why should I? I’ve got my rain boots on. Playing in the rain is fun.”
“Do I even want to know why the two of you are carrying binoculars?” she asked Luna.
“We were on a diplomatic mission for the Crumple-Horned Snorkack . They seemed to be having some trouble with predators.”
“Predators you need binoculars to find couldn’t be much of a menace, could they?”
“Wrackspurts can be very troublesome,” Luna insisted. “You of all people should know that size and power don’t necessarily correlate.”
“That’s true, I suppose. Will the two of you come in before you catch your deaths? I made soup.”
“It’s a good thing one of us is domestic,” Pansy offered thankfully. “Who’d have ever guessed the three of us would end up together?”
“I did,” Luna said dreamily. “I sensed it as soon as you two helped me cast my circle.”
“Sometimes I still can’t believe it,” Pansy admitted. “I couldn’t believe that anyone would want me after what nearly happened.”
“We’ve all made mistakes, love. I was actually possessed by Voldemort in my second year. No one could blame you for wanting to take what seemed like the logical chance at survival. Even Harry doesn’t blame you anymore. Forgive yourself, yes?”
“Ginny is right, love. You have more than paid for your part in the war. We all did. But we’re alive, and we’re together. That’s all that matters. That, and the fact that we are free to love whomever we choose. And we chose each other,” Luna added.
“How is it that you two can always say or do just the right things to cheer me up when I’m upset? “
“We know things about you. Like the fact that you love playing in the rain, baby unicorns delight you, and that you can’t stand to see spiders being hurt. We know what you hide from the rest of the world, because we care enough to find out.”
“You two are going to turn me into a Hufflepuff talking to me like that.”
“We love you just as you are,” they both said.
