Seeing Draco

When I first saw you, I remember thinking that you looked like a git. You had that pointy chin and slicked back hair. Not one strand was out of place. My hair is always a mess and never behaves. That in itself was enough to make me dislike you. Every word you said reminded me of Dudley, though, even then, I must say, you looked better.

You gave me a funny feeling in my stomach, almost as if I’d been kicked, but softly.

Even when we fought, it was as if you knew we were meant to be more than rivals.

I hated you. I was intrigued by you. You were my first taste of magic.

We were forbidden fruit to one another, and we both craved its sweetness.

You were my first love. I remember the heat in your eyes the first time we made love.

The wonder when you looked at our son for the first time.

Your eyes, warm and silver, looking into mine as if you never wanted to look away again.

I remember the first time I knew we would last an eternity.
