“It really is orange isn’t it?” Draco mused, eyeing the television with distaste.

“His hair does look rather odd.”

“I should say so. He seems a bit clueless at times.”

“Is that the extent of your political opinion?” Harry asked, amused.

“I was never allowed the luxury of political opinions, Harry. You know that.”

“That’s somewhat ironic, considering the fact that you seem to have every other luxury. Aren’t you supposed to meet your mother for brunch this morning?”

“Not this weekend. She’s having some of our ancestral antiques re-authenticated.”

“She’s doing what?”

“She’s had some of the ancestral antiques cleared of dust and mildew, and she wants to make doubly sure they really are authentic pieces and not just some rubbish copies.”

“As emphatic about blood purity as the Blacks and the Malfoys were, I’m sure that the antiques are genuine.”

“Nevertheless, she wants to be certain of that, Harry. So she’s gone to an antique shop to have them checked.”

“Understandable, I suppose. Does that mean you won’t be going to brunch?”

“She owled me and asked if we could postpone it for a bit. Unless you’d like to go to brunch with me?”

“Why don’t I make you breakfast in bed this morning, since you have the time to be lazy today?”

“That sounds wonderful, love, but I have no intention of being lazy today.”

“Oh no? What did you have in mind, I wonder?”

“I was thinking we could call the house-elves to make breakfast for us, and then spend the day making wild, passionate love to each other.”

“You have the best ideas, love.”

“I know.”

“But, Draco? Before we do that? Turn the telly off. Politics rather spoils my appetite, and I’d rather not waste this golden opportunity.”

“Why in Merlin’s name did I ever think you weren’t a smart man?” Draco asked breathlessly as Harry began to kiss him.

“As I recall, you were too busy looking at my arse at first to bother with the state of my brain, I think.”

“Yes, well, you do have a rather magnificent arse. Can you blame me?”

“Too much talking, not enough kissing.”

“I love it when you get demanding.”
