“No. I think I’d rather just curl up on the sofa with you, watching scary movies and eating popcorn.”
“And chocolate. We have to have chocolate.”

“Chocolate cures the frights.”
“Where’s the fun in that? I like it when you’re scared.”
“That seems mean.”
“Not mean, just opportunistic. You snuggle into me like a kitten when you’re frightened. I like that.”
“Why, Harry Potter. That’s almost Slytherin of you.”
“Thank you. I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“I’m grateful you’re choosing to spend Halloween with me rather than at some fancy dress party.”
