Can you feel my heart breaking?
My eyes are blank.
Loneliness gnaws at my soul.

Numb to the point of pain,
the razor resting
against my skin
slides softly.

Metallic silver
gleams with the promise
of Relief.

My blood runs down
arms that tremble.
It is warm
and sacred-and
Alive.
