I'm stressed, but trying to stay positive about everything. I'm eating, doing yoga, drinking tea, doing fandom related things, and reading books.  My nephew's preacher apparently thinks yoga is sinful, but it helps me. I'm able to do things for my self care more easily and with less hassle when I do yoga, so I intend to do it whenever I can. I'm doing my best to send positive energy into the universe and not negative., in spite of all that's happening. Take care. Peace to all.

Yey, that's great for you!:)
I wish I could say the same - today I look like a suicide bomber, cause I'm wearing a machine (with ridiculous wiring!) for measuring my blood pressure - apparently 150 systolic pressure is too high, but my life is so stressful, it can't be helped. I've had an absolute shit day yesterday and if I didn't have a lovely Ron/Draco (my favourite pairing) fic to read when I came home, I would have vampirized completely. I already shouted at kids like a banshee being crucified - granted, I have practically Fred and George Weasley at home - and I was properly ashamed of myself afterwards, but stress will do that to you.
Enjoy your peace and positive spirit - and I'm off to another 2 crazy days before the weekend, yikes! :P

Thank you. I'm sorry you've been having difficult times. I may have a suggestion for the blood pressure. I used to have it when I was younger from stress. My pediatrician suggested taking vinegar diluted with water when my blood pressure spiked. About two spoonfuls per an 8 ounce glass, if I remember correctly. Also, he said that eating pickles would bring it down, but not to eat a excessive amount of them because of the salt content. I hope that some of that is helpful to you. Just thought I'd suggest it. It really does seem to do the trick. I really hope that your stress levels off soon. It sounds like you may need to take some time for yourself and unwind a bit. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. <3 *hugs*

Sorry about the late reply - I just got home (8 PM here) and I just didn't see it earlier. Thanks a lot for your recommendation, I'll definitely consider it when I'm home. Part of my problem, that probably affects the pressure I have, is that I rarely am until the evening hours and my days are just plain crazy - I won't bother you with details, but I get up at 5.30 every morning, have a full-time stressful job (and drive to it and back for a 100 miles every day) and when I get home I have to take care of after-school activities of my kids (and all the doctor's/school/whatever appointments cause I take the only family car - in short, I get home late and end up doing household chores for the better part of the evening and write/read fics to about 1 AM to at least have some time to myself. I'm used to 4-5 hours of sleep, but the whole "rush here, rush there" is draining and I think my pressure is the result of being so wound-up - and also taking remedies is hard to take, cause I'm constantly in the car and stuck somewhere other than home. But I'll go with it when I'm home and I'll let you know if it helps! :) Thanks for bothering with my problems, I know you really don't need to, cause you've got a bunch of your own, so it's that much more appreciated. :)

No worries for the late reply. Wow. Major kudos to you for managing all of that. If that were me, I'd probably be a gibbering wreck. I hope that the suggestions do help. High blood pressure is no fun. Listening to relaxation music or nature sounds is another thing that seems to help me if frustration is making my pressure go wonky. It might not be the same for you, but I thought I'd mention it, seeing as you spend so much time driving.I have CDs that I listen to, or when I'm on the computer, I YouTube that sort of thing when I need some downtime. I hope some of this helps. As many times as you've helped and supported me through all my things, I'm glad if I can be of help to you. *hugs* You are in my thoughts.

Thanks so much for your kindness, I hope you are in a good place right now.:)
About the music - erm, I guess I have a bit of specific taste. The so called "relaxing music" just makes me really nervous and I find it the easiest to unwind while listening to metal and hard rock (and growl most godlessly to it, hih). It also helps me from falling asleep in the car in the morning and all that cursing and yelling gets the tension out quite beautifully. :) I do have occasional pop farts I'd put on - like Sia's Chandelier or Rupert Grint's Lightning, hih, how crazy is that!? - but mostly it's just bands you probably never even heard of if you're not into this scene.:)
But I'm home today and I'm ready to try your water and vinegar remedy - I think I might need it, Voldemort and Sauron, commonly known as "my kids" (not their actual name, mind you! :D) have vampirized again and I think about tying them to the fence with a big sign - "2 for 1, take one get one free" ;)
Honestly, I love the little scoundrels to death, but one has ADHD and Asperger's and his brother - I assume - must have rabies then, cause he's 100-times more energetic than the ADHD one. Both alpha males, both apparently eating Duracell for breakfast... yep, water and vinegar it is! And sorry about the rant - I really should stop doing that on other people's LJs! :P
Hugs for being awesome!

Your boys remind me of my nephews. lol I hope the water and vinegar helps. As to the music, whatever works for you. I like a lot of different music, but it depends on what mood I'm in as to what I listen to. Please do not apologize for ranting. I truly do not mind it one little bit. We all need to do it sometimes. *hugs* Wishing you and yours all the best.

Do what's best for YOU, and don't let anyone else's attitudes affect you. *nods*
