I made an account on Hex. Finally. So I can review again. Yay. Life is a bit rough, but fan fiction is my happy space.

I know what you mean - fanfic is my escape. That's why I don't like to read or write angsty fics. If I want to deal with angst, there's always real life, right?
I'm glad you made a account at Hex Files - your comments are always sweet - I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks so. I saw the notice about the mods having to disallow anonymous posts - because of spam reviews? What is a spam review??

Spam reviews are sort of like spam emails, with links in them for things like cheap Viagra. Or sometimes they have random gibberish letters in them that make no sense, They are really annoying and may or may not contain viruses that harm computers, so I can see why anonymous reviews were disabled, but I hated not being able to review things. It took me a long time to start reviewing things to begin with, but after I did it, it got a lot easier. So I'm happy to finally be able to review again over there. I've missed the interaction. I always try to leave nice comments, because it makes me feel better to make other people feel good. My favorite types of fics are fluff and angst, but I generally prefer my angst with a happy ending. That's one of the many reasons I love Paws of Fury so much. It has a perfect balance, and a fluffy kitten. They don't come much better than that. :)

Thank you. You are so nice to say that about PoF. And speaking from experience, comments are very much appreciated.
Ok I'm an idiot (or maybe just still in pain med haze). I have received those types of comments here at LJ (the spam ones). It's really weird. I'm notified by email whenever anyone comments on my journal - I can actually see the comment. I've had three of those and on the email, it will show the comment (which never makes sense) and then there will be this whole big section in Russian. The comments are always on my sticky post - My Master list post. And yes, there's a link to a porn site (or was on the first one). I automatically deleted them and I did notify LJ when it happened and they purged the accounts. It's very frustrating to get that sort of thing. I guess I didn't think about that at Hex Files. Don't know why.

PoF is a favorite of mine. I know I've read it at least three times. Probably more, actually. Spam reviews are weird things. It's just not something you think about being on a fan fiction site, I don't think, but it does happen. I think the mods are/were working on fixes for lj and Hex, but I'm not sure where they are with that. And I may be odd, but I've gotten to the place where I don't like to read unless I can review something after, so I bit the bullet and made an account. I don't know if I'll post my fics there or not, but I'm happy to finally be able to save my favorites. *hugs*
