Summary: Harry and Draco are just trying to eat dinner.

“That is absolutely disgusting! You should be ashamed of yourself!”

“And why is that, ma’am?”

“It’s unnatural, that’s why!”

“Excuse me, but what is unnatural?”

“Two men together! It goes against nature. It’s not normal. You had so much promise, too, until he influenced you with his perversions!”

“Have you ever been around animals, ma’am?”

“Yes.”

“Animals are part of nature, are they not?”

“Of course.”

“Isn’t it true that animals will sometimes interact with creatures of the same sex, simply because it feels good? Or even objects? That is natural for them. Loving this main is natural for me. What I find unnatural, however, is the fact that you seem to take such an interest in what I do with my life when I’ve never seen you before.”

“Well, I never! You’re a public figure.”

“What I am is a person. I didn’t ask to be famous. I didn’t ask to have my parents killed at one year old. I didn’t ask for a complete stranger’s bigoted opinion on my love life. Now, if you are finished, I would like to enjoy my dinner. Good evening.”

“Hmmph! I hope you’ll come to your senses one day, Potter.”

“I wish the same for you. If you’ve had your say, may I eat my curry in peace? I would hate to have you thrown out of this establishment.”

“You wouldn’t!”

“I suggest you leave before you find out.”

There was a heartbeat of silence before the woman turned, walking over to her table wearing a thoughtful frown.

“Potter, you are the most amazing man I’ve ever seen. I wanted to hex that old bat. How did you keep so calm?”

“Simple. We do not have to be ashamed of what we are. Loving you comes as naturally to me as breathing, and I’m not going to let some idiot I will probably never see again make that into something dirty.”

“Why don’t we get out of here and take the rest of this curry home? I find I’m suddenly in the mood to show you just how much I love you. Why don’t we have the rest of our dinner in bed?”

“That sounds absolutely perfect.”
