Summary: Draco and Ron get into a fight over Harry.

Caught Up

“What in Merlin’s name ever made me think I could write a book, Draco? This is horrible! Why did I ever try?”

“Potter, really. You are going to have to calm down. You’re hardly Sophocles, but at least your penmanship has vastly improved. And your story is amazing.”

“You agreed to publish it. You have to say that.”

“I don’t have to say anything. If it was bad, I’d tell you so. It’s in my best interest to make sure you put out a story that will sell. If it were horrid, I’d be the first to say something. Aside from that, when have you known me to bite my tongue where you’re concerned?”

“Only once.”

“That was in the interest of saving the world from a madman, in case you’ve forgotten. It doesn’t count.”

“Sometimes I still can’t believe you didn’t tell them it was me at the manor. I will never be able to repay you for that.”

“You saved my mother’s life and kept me from Azkaban. I’d say you owe me nothing.”

“I don’t think so.”

“I hate to say it, but I agree with the ferret, Harry,” a voice said from the fireplace.

“Ron! What are you doing here?”

“It’s half-past six, mate. You were supposed to meet me for a pint at the Leaky tonight, but I see you’re busy,” Ron responded, sneering in Draco’s direction.

“Oh, I’m sorry Ron. I got caught up with edits on the book.”

“So I see.”

“Jealous, Weasley? I spend more time with your best mate these days than you.”

“You love that, don’t you Malfoy? You just love that he finally chose you over me for once. You are just a job for him. I’m his friend.”

“Ron, that was out of order. Apologise to Draco. You’re both my friends, you know that. Do not make me threaten to hex you again.”

“Harry! That’s not fair. He started it!”

“Can we all just get along? Why don’t both of you apologise together?”

“Weasley stated it! He’s always pulling a face like he smells dragon dung when he sees me.”

“I do not!”

“You do too!”

“I give up! I’m going to bed.”

Heh, uhm, my first thought here was - who are you going to bed with, Harry? :D Oh, I have a dirty mind, don't I? My boys quarrelling again, eh? Well, that's to be expected, Harry is yummy enough to quarrel over, LOL! :) If those two are not careful, someone third is going to run off with the main prize! Or both... hm... there's a thought... :)

That was actually my thought at the end of writing this, too. lol You know Ron and Draco always quarrel. One or the other of them will eventually talk Harry around to their side, I think. The question is, which one? Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment on this. <3

I don't read Harry/Ron so I will pretend that Harry is in love with Draco and Ron will just have to live with only being his friend :)
