hogwarts365 Prompt #147-Quote/Picture prompt: You have me. Remember it.; Surreptitious; Marauder’s Map
Notes: The prompts were screaming Harry/Sirius at me this week, and apparently my angst monster wanted to play, so here you have it.
Summary: Harry is vulnerable and Sirius is tempted.
Propositions
“What’s the matter, Harry?”
“Why should anything be the matter, Sirius?”
“You don’t generally fire-call me. I just assumed there was some sort of trouble, that’s all.”
“Shhh, not so loud. Merlin knows, the last thing I need is for a slimy reporter to catch wind of this.”
Sirius peered over his shoulder, shooting a surreptitious glance at the door of the crowded pub.
“There’s no one listening, but I’ll cast Muffliato. Now tell me, what in the name of Dobby’s leather socks is going on?!”
“Ginny. I—she—she-“
“She what?” Sirius asked.
“I—caught her.”
“Caught her doing what?” Sirius wondered.
“She was in bed with someone, Sirius. She was cheating on me.”
“I’ll kill her. I’ll stuff the Marauder’s Map down her throat and make her eat it, I swear.”
“Sirius, just—don’t do that. It’s fine. I’m fine.”
“You are not fine. But you will be. You have me. Remember that. Always.”
“Knew I could count on you, Padfoot. You always take care of me.”
“I have a lot to make up for. Are you sure you don’t want me to kill her?”
“She’s not worth going to Azkaban for. I lost you to that place once. I’d prefer not to do that again.”
“You won’t lose me.”
“You were the only one I trusted to be with me tonight. Don’t let me be alone, please.”
“You won’t have to be alone, Harry. Not for one minute.”
“You always know what to say to make things better. Can I get you a drink?”
“You’ve more reason than I do to drown your sorrows. I’ll put you to bed later.”
“You are so good, Sirius. The one person I know who loves me no matter what. Gods, you smell delicious. It makes me want to eat you alive.”
“Harry—we—you can’t be serious.”
“I’m not Sirius. You’re Sirius. I need to be with someone who cares about me right now, and you make me feel safe. Always have. And you’re fit as well. I just—need to forget.”
“Harry, if anything happens between us, I want it to be something we both remember, with no regrets.”
“Just—Salazar’s beard, take me.”
