Summary: A friendly competition leads to flirtation.
“I’m going to beat you!”
“You wish. You’ve never bested me in any competition we’ve been in together, Malfoy!”
“There’s a first time for everything, Potter. Just you wait!”
“The only way you could beat me is if you charmed the Snitch to fly straight to your hand, Draco.”
“Gods, you are too infuriatingly cocky for my liking, Potter.”
“I think I’ve been around you too often of late. Your attitude must’ve rubbed off on me.”
“Is that your way of saying I’m arrogant, then?”
“Well, if the shoe fits…”
“Who was talking about shoes? What are you nattering on about?”
“It’s a muggle saying. ‘If the shoe fits, wear it.’ It means you should just accept the fact that you are arrogant. It’s just a part of you.”
“I’m not arrogant, Potter. If I were, I’d have never started working with you.”
“I didn’t say it was a bad trait, Malfoy. I rather like that.”
“A year ago…I never would’ve pictured my life the way it is now. I never dreamed we could even be Auror partners, and here we are on holiday together playing a Seeker’s game.”
“It’s not been so awful being partners with me, has it? We get on well enough now.”
“Yes, well, once you’ve seen me vomit, I either have to kill you or keep you, and I really didn’t fancy being burned at the stake for murdering the saviour.”
“You’d been hexed, Draco. It really wasn’t your fault you ruined the inside of that rental car. I thought Dawlish was going to pass out from the smell. Gods, it was funny seeing his face look so green!” Harry chuckled.
“You really can make the best out of any situation, can’t you, Harry? I admire that about you. Now, can we please get back to searching for the Snitch? I know you’re trying to distract me, but it won’t work.”
“We could, I suppose. But I’m really not in the mood to play right now. I’m enjoying just talking with you like this.”
“I’m rather enjoying our discourse myself. But I was so looking forward to being on top for once.”
“You can if you like. I wouldn’t mind.”
