hogwarts365 Prompt 223- “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”― Aldous Huxley; Private; Copper
Notes: Just a random something for the prompts that I hope readers enjoy.
Summary: Harry is gay, Ginny’s in denial, and Draco is…Draco.
“What did you do to him, Malfoy? He wasn’t the least bit bent before you came along and turned his head.”
“Ginny, facts don’t cease to exist just because you choose to ignore them. I told you before I ever started seeing Draco that I was gay. That’s why I broke up with you. Why can’t you just find some other boy to date? One that likes you for you and has your best interests at heart? It’s not fair to blame Draco for the fact that I’m gay. That isn’t to do with him.”
Ginny’s copper-red hair glittered brightly in a shaft of strong winter sunlight as she wagged an accusing finger at Harry. “Don’t tell me that. You’ve no idea what in Merlin’s name you’re saying. He has you bewitched. He just has to. That’s all there is to it.”
“Ginevra, I suggest you go away now and leave us be. I think Harry knows himself well enough to know the truth of things, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks.”
“Draco has not bewitched me, Ginny. I’ve just fallen in love with him, that’s all. He makes me happy.”
“Why couldn’t I have been the one to do that? Why couldn’t you love me?”
“I do love you, Ginny, but more as a sister than a lover. It just…felt more like you were my mum or something when we were together. It never felt quite right.”
“And that’s leaving out the fact that you have the wrong bits to suit his tastes, Weaselette,” Draco chimed in waspishly.
“Draco, please don’t help.”
“I’m just telling her the truth, Harry. Besides, the sooner she gets over you, the sooner we can stop having our private time ruined with her ridiculous outbursts. Don’t you wish you were getting laid right about now?”
“You know I do, but Ginny is still my friend. So try to be civil, okay? It was a bit of a shock for her when she caught us together.”
“I remember. She fainted.”
“I still don’t think you’re actually gay, Harry.”
“Would you like to watch me prove he is by fucking him?”
“Malfoy you are evil.”
“In the best way.”
