Summary: Harry confronts Draco with the news that he’s pregnant.
“Malfoy! I’m going to kill you!”
“Must you come banging through the door barking at me that way? You know I detest loud noises.”
“Why, yes, Malfoy! I most certainly must! Why did you not tell me that wizards have the ability to get pregnant?!”
“I thought you knew that already, Harry. I’ve known since I was four.”
“How the hell would I have known?! I was raised by muggles for the first ten years of my life, and the male pregnancy wasn’t exactly a class subject at Hogwarts, now was it? It never came up. Until now. I’m pregnant. Apparently with twins.”
“You’re pregnant?”
“Yes, much to my shock. Why did you not tell me such a thing could happen? The mediwitch told me that male pregnancies don’t typically occur unless both partners wish for it to happen. I certainly don’t recall a secret wish to become pregnant. Is there anything you’d like to share with me, Draco?”
“Merlin, you’re pregnant.”
“Yes, we’ve established that.”
“With twins?”
“Yes, you daft idiot. I thought I’d said that already.”
“Twins! Oh, god. I hoped, but I—I never expected it to happen.”
“I should hex you where you stand, Draco Malfoy! You couldn’t have thought long enough to tell me that we needed to be careful of this happening?!”
“I thought you knew, Harry. I honestly did. I just wasn’t thinking I suppose.”
“You were thinking with your dick, more like.”
“Are you really that unhappy? We’ve always talked about starting a family someday.”
“Call me mad, but I assumed you meant through surrogacy or adoption.”
“And I just assumed you knew of male pregnancies. They aren’t the norm, but they aren’t exactly rare. Marcus Flint and Theo had a child last year.”
“I thought they’d adopted.”
“No. Theo carried the baby. You honestly didn’t know? Merlin Harry, I’m sorry. It’s no bloody wonder you wanted to kill me. Have at it.”
“I can’t do it now. I was just upset because I thought you’d kept it from me deliberately. Our son and daughter will need both their parents.”
“Daughter? I suppose we’ll need hair ribbons.”
“Especially if the poor girl gets my hair.”
“Merlin forbid.”
