bleedingangel84Okay, so I have been thinking over Candy Crush Saga. Why, you ask?
Mainly, because I was a little bored and had nothing better to do. I have been intensely curious about the game ever since I saw this video from Myles Dyer:
Which, conversely, really made me WANT to play it, because I'm just contrary like that, even though I had every intention of avoiding it prior to this because it seemed silly. I was as curious as a cat about what the big whoop is over this game. I played it at King.com a few times. As I said, I found it annoying and overly bright. I still do. However, it is significantly less annoying when the mute button has been applied to it. (That music really does get on my nerves.) I logged into Facebook tonight in order to play it without having to register at King.com. Anyway, I played.
Here are my conclusions about the game:
1. It's still too bright.
2. The music does get annoying, but that can be taken care of via the mute button.
3. It's deceptively simple, but I enjoy the challenge of matching the candies together and seeing how many levels I can beat without spending any money on it.
4. I would much rather compete with myself than against any "friends" on Facebook, so I'm not really swayed by that aspect of it.
5. I can understand the addictive factor slightly better now that I'm allowed to play past level 2, because the game does get slightly more challenging as it progresses, which fuels the desire to continue playing.
6.In the end, it is just a game. It's mindless fun,yes, but if the worst vice you have in life is a game, I'd say you're doing fairly well, all things considered.
