The end of another day in the trenches...

Gerrgh. So tired. I had to fuss at my nephew today, which absolutely breaks my heart to do, but it's all part of being the adult, I know. Still doesn't mean I like it.

Anyway, though. I want a nap, a hug or some chocolate. And possibly a cup of tea.

I can't honestly say I'm bored or lonely anymore, though, which I suppose is a positive thing.

For the first time in years, I'm looking toward a weekend with something other than dread.

I may take an entire day just to sleep and watch television.

If you fear you're being a bit of an ogre with your nephew, then arrange some sort of reward for him for, say, completing his homework. That way, you can push him by dangling the reward carrot, and your session with him will end on a positive note.

Eh, not so much an ogre, but I hate having to get stern with him too often. The reward system sounds like a good idea, though. Thanks for suggesting it.
