Title: Prophetic Dreams
Author: bleedingangel84
Beta: None
Rating: R
Warnings: Mentions of violence, Character Death, Angst, Revenge, Killing
Word Count: 365
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction created for fun and no profit has been made.
Written for: hogwarts365 Prompt # 6- “I had a dream last night…”; Romilda Vane; Character Death
Notes: Heavy themes here, folks. Not my usual fare at all. Character death and revenge reign supreme in this, though I’ve no idea if you could actually call that murder or not. Anyway, I hope you give it a chance. Despite the darker themes, it was a very satisfying piece to write, mainly because I really wanted Lucius dead after the last thing I wrote for hogwarts365. Sequel to Never Alone. Not beta’ed, so please feel free to point out errors. I will love you for making me a better writer.
Summary: Sometimes dreams really do predict the future.
Prophetic Dreams
“I’ll kill you, I swear I will! You never deserved to call him your son! You aren’t good enough to lick his boots! ”
“Now, now, Potter. That’s no way for the hero of the magical world to act.”
“Oh, Lucius Malfoy is giving me lessons on proper behavior after disowning his only son. You nearly killed him with what you did! He all but drank himself to death.”
“He should have done, Potter. I could at least be happy he did one thing right.”
“Nothing would please me more than to torture the life out of you.”
“You haven’t the will to kill me. You have to be able to hate in order to kill.”
“I’ve never been so happy to be underestimated. Avada Kedavra!”
“Harry! Wake up. Did Romilda Vane give you some wonky potions again?”
“Romilda Vane isn’t here, Draco. Why would she try to dose me with potions again? Didn’t work the first time.”
“I had a dream last night…you fell in love with her and ran off. You left me. Lucius tried to kill me.”
“Sounds more like one of my nightmares. You’re all I need, Draco. I’ll never leave you. Especially not for Romilda Vane. She scares me.”
“What were you dreaming about? You looked like you were snarling in your sleep.”
“I killed Lucius. He was trying to hurt you.”
“He’s not worth the magic it would take to kill him.”
“He doesn’t deserve to draw breath, Draco.”
“Harry, is that an owl outside the window?”
“It looks like your mother’s owl, Cecily. She’s carrying a letter.”
“I haven’t heard from mother in several weeks. I wonder what the news is.”
“I hope it’s good, whatever it is.”
“Harry, Lucius is dead. Mother turned him over to the Aurors. He was attacked by a dementor horde on the way to trial. The thestrals fed on his body.”
“That’s…well…I don’t know what to say.”
“I’m not sad he’s dead, but it shouldn’t have happened. He never legally disowned me; everything reverts to my name now.”
“Isn’t it funny, I was just dreaming about that, and then you got that letter?”
“Remind me never to get on your bad side.”

on 2013-10-21 10:12 pm (UTC)When Luci is being evil I love nothing better than for him to be killed off. :D
And I just want Umbridge and Skeeter dead regardless. I don't think I have ever read a story where either of those two have been convincingly redeemed. *bleech*
