New Year, 2012
Jan. 1st, 2012 11:37 pmHappy New Year to all reading this. I hope yours is a great one.
I think I've come up with a few resolutions that I can actually stick to this year, or at least try to. They sort of tie in with last year's as well, but they are a tad less vague. Let's see if this works, shall we?
1. Laugh more.
I need this one. Since my father's passing, there has been too much sad/negative energy in my life. This morning, I ran across something on television that really made me laugh. I realized that this isn't something I do much of, and that I felt loads better than I have in ages, so I thought it would be a good resolution to make.
2. Realize that I do deserve to have things that I want/ like/need, even if there is no justification for them.
This one is hard for me, but I plan to work on it.
3. Spend more time with my sister.
This one is one that I'd like to do more of. She always stays busy, so it's hard to do. We used to have one day each month that we'd get together to eat lunch out and go shopping or to movies. I miss that, and I'd like to start doing that again.
4. Write more.
This one is pretty self-explanatory. I enjoy writing, but haven't done as much of it in the last few months. I want to do it again, and hopefully finish some things that I haven't yet.
