hogwarts365 Prompt 317- If you can pay the right price, your evening will be nice; You got a hunger for destruction; All the ones that you fear most
Summary: The Malfoys throw Draco and Ron a party.
“Another Firewhisky.”
“Lucius Malfoy, this is a party to celebrate your son’s marriage. You will behave yourself—unless you have some overwhelming hunger for destruction.”
“Narcissa, I’m surrounded by Weasleys, my son has been corrupted, and Harry Potter is in my home. Forgive me for needing a bit of liquid courage, won’t you?”
“All the ones you fear most are otherwise occupied, Lucius. There is nothing to fear now.”
“Leave me in peace, Narcissa. I paid for all this alcohol. Thus, I should be entitled to consume it with no interference from you.”
“Do I have to make you sleep in the guest room again? If you behave yourself like a gentleman, I’ll make it worth your while.”
“That’s blackmail.”
“You know what they say: “If you can pay the right price, your evening will be nice. If you don’t, I make no promises as to how your evening will be, but I can tell you, you will not like it.”
“Woman, you are positively evil.”
“I had a good teacher.”
“Fine. I will behave, but you owe me. Is that Astoria Greengrass over there dancing with young Ginevra Weasley?”
“Yes. Apparently Draco was not the only one relieved that their contract was broken. I hear that the Arthur Weasley was rather shocked by the match. He had no idea his daughter was bisexual.”
“I know Draco told us he’d seen the two of them together, but it is rather a shock seeing it in person, isn’t it?”
“That’s something you and Arthur Weasley have in common.”
“There is no need to mean, Narcissa dear.”
“I myself am rather shocked by Hermione Granger and Viktor Krum. They look cosy, do they not?”
“I swear, I’m going to have nightmares about this party for months. I caught Draco and Ronald naked on the dining room table half an hour ago. We eat in there!”
“That, my dear Lucius, is why they have disinfectant spells. Draco is happy. That’ is all that matters to me. It’s worth any social discomfort we have to bear, even if it means having to mend fences with the Weasleys. That was long overdue.”
“I suppose you’re right.”
“I always am, Lucius.”
