Isolated and alone, anxiety thrumming-
veins open and bleeding-
smiling face-
tells a lie.

Thoughts are grey-
swirling mist, white vapor-
Want someone to say it's okay-
Just to be.

Tight knots
in my stomach-
coiled and writhing-
like poisonous snakes.

The whys are unknown-
nothing matters here-
in my room-
Barriers resting-
protective and stifling-
between reality-
and this thing called--
